The truth is...

I have been asked by several people what my stance is on the whole gay marriage thing going around right now.

Truth is: Why do you care what I think?
Does it change the way you look at me? Will your world forever be changed with my answer? Will you decide depending on what I decide? None of these things matter!!




But here it is...

Truth is: I dont care.
Yep, that is my mind blowing answer.  Not what you were expecting? Well, I tend to throw expectation out the door.

Truth is: I love my God, I love my bible.
But honestly no one really knows what is there in the end. We have hope and faith there is a heaven. But no one really knows. So who is to say we bible thumpers are right? We just hope.

Truth is: Gay people arent hurting you.
Mind blowing again right? If you believe they are sinning, then that is your belief! Not theirs. I say leave them alone. Are you with out sin? Not likely. Then why are you judging them for their actions? Its crazy.

Truth is: I will probably lose some friends for this post.
Oh well, are they really even friends if they should judge me? Gonna go with no.

Truth is: I am voting for love.
Yep, love. Crazy thought, huh? If you are gay, I dont care. I have TONS of friends who are gay and even family. I will NEVER judge them. That is between them and God. Not me. As a matter of fact it has NOTHING to do with me. Profound, I know.

Truth is: In the bible this is the ONE thing I have always struggled with.
God gave us a free will, I just dont understand why its such a big deal. Honestly. Love who you want to, girl or boy. WHO CARES! Why does it matter?

Truth is: If one of my kids grow up to be gay - I will LOVE them all the same - Never try to change them.
Oh dear, here is where the bible get thrown at my head. I am raising my kids in a christian home, however, I am also raising them to love and respect differences in others. If they find love, whether it be with a man or woman - I will respect them. And love them. And accept them.

Truth is: I dont care what you think either.
If you support a man and woman marriage  or a man and man marriage  or a woman and woman marriage - I dont care. We all have different views, different perspectives. I will never push my beliefs on you as I would hope you would never push yours on me. Its as simple as that.

Look I am just a grain of sand on this planet. What I say doesnt really matter. The world is going to spin without me here. I am doing my best to me a good mother and wife. I am not out to change the world. Not for this stupidness. Now get me going about Down syndrome and thats a whole other story. Ha!

I guess thats my point on this. This topic doesnt effect me. Not yet anyways. So it doesnt matter what I think or feel. I am not effected either way. So I am not going to go picketing or jump down peoples throats. It is what it is. There are tons of people passionate about it that will do that anyways. No need for me to jump on the band wagon.

And that, my friends, is the truth.
