It was a long and difficult recovery. He scared us with his fevers and screams. I wanted it to be over.
And then...
It was.
Just like that - day 12 post op. he decided to eat. A half a jar of fill pickles.
The first real thing he had eaten in 12 days.
And it was all good from there.
Amazing.
He lost a bit of weight but is eating great now so I feel better about it.
